Research portion: 1 2 3 Research basic information about your vehicle or aircraft (example: number of troops it can seat, approximate size and weight, year of origin). Name a major battle that your vehicle or aircraft was employed in during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. You will also need to know the location, month and year this took place. Describe its primary role on the battlefield, and how it was actually used in the battle that you are researching.
Model portion: Materials: Cardboard, film strips/transparencies, and hot glue. Required: • Visual accuracy. • Great craftsmanship. • Correct scale. Size: Correct scale (see next slide). Not Required, but optional: • Moveable wheels. • Secondary weapon systems (example: Machine guns).

What I want: YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WRITE A PAPER. However, you must create a presentation of your model that includes: Three (3) good, clear photographs of your model at different angles with a plain white backdrop and floor. SCALE: Height and width, including the fuselage (wingspan/full rotor for aircraft only), and weight. Crew capacity, including the number of troops that can be transported inside the vehicle/aircraft. Battle that the vehicle/aircraft participated in, its primary role, and its role in the battle space. Date and location (within the Iraq and Afghanistan wars). Good, clear images of your vehicle/aircraft found online to accompany your presentation. Your journey through the STEM cycle: Work-in-progress shots (sketches, prototype, and/or of your project being built). Failures and successes. Discuss what makes this project interdisciplinary.
You will not read off the slide during your presentation. Learn the material and speak intelligently about the topic with confidence and authority. This is your final exam, and it’s worth 25% of your cumulative grade. Model: 60% Presentation: 40%
