Definitions • Simile- A comparison using like or as. o Her eyes sparkled like diamonds. • Metaphor- the comparison of two similar things but doesn't use the word like. o Her eyes are diamonds. • Personification-Giving non-living things living traits. o The kites danced in the sky. • Hyperbole- An exaggeration. o I’m so hungry I could eat a horse!
