What is a Simile? A simile is a comparison between two different things using Like or As. Examples: His feet were as big as boats. They were like two peas in a pod.
What is a Metaphor? A metaphor states that one thing is something else. It is a comparison, but it does NOT use like or as to make the comparison. Examples: Her hair is silk. You are my sunshine.
