Problem Statement • 1. To determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of Fourwinds Marina. • 2. To understand the marina’s strategy and organization. • 3. To determine a way to assist Keltner with implementing changes throughout the organization.
Materials and Methods • Information in this case study was derived from the ninth edition of “Organization Development and Change”, written by Thomas G. Cummings and Christopher G. Worley. The case study is titled, “Fourwinds Marina”.
Results and Discussions • SWOT analysis • Strategy and Organization is set up pretty well under Keltner. • Be realistic in setting goals. o Time o Cost
Conclusion • OD consultants must be open to change. • Fourwinds Marina is making changes to become more profitable as well as successful. • It is important to choose the correct type of change to implement.
Recommendation • Must understand three types of change o Transformational o Continuous o Transorganizational • Transformational change is the most appropriate type of change in this case.
