Applying for Fieldwork The link to your fieldwork application will emailed to you by SOE@Stockton. edu You may want to meet with your preceptor prior to completing your fieldwork application. Completing Your CPI Fieldwork Application For Early Childhood and Elementary Candidates: For Secondary Candidates: P 3 and K 6 Summer CPI Placements will most likely be in Somers Point School District Summer CPI candidates are typically placed in Greater Egg Harbor Regional Schools. It is strongly encouraged that students seeking a K 6 certification explore a middle school placement in CPI. Districts require the following information: your telephone number, address, subject area(s) of certification, and preferred grade levels. Your preferences for grades and location are just that – preferences. There are no guarantees. Please complete all entries and click submit.

District Requirements Your district may require you to archive your fingerprints, obtain your sub certification, produce new TB test results, or complete an interview before your placement is finalized. This is not unusual. Every district has a different policy and as a guest in their house, you are expected to comply.

Dress code: Professional Attire An example dress code for teaching faculty and fieldwork includes: Collared Shirts and Ties Blazers/Jackets/Sweaters when the weather dips below 70 degrees Knee length or longer skirts and dresses Think Conservative! No open toe shoes, cutout tops, short skirts, tank tops, spaghetti string straps, yoga pants, or crop tops. Please make sure clothing is clean and wrinkle free.

Starting your hours You may begin your hours after your first meeting with your professor. You will organize your observation schedule in collaboration with your mentor teacher. Be Flexible – Be Available!
