Student Course Load • Students must take a minimum of 6 courses each semester

Teacher Recommendations CORE CLASSES • You must have a teacher recommendation to for scholarship

Teacher Recommendations CORE CLASSES • You must have a teacher recommendation to for scholarship or honors classes in English, Math, Science, and Social Studies. • Science Acceleration - You must complete an application and pass the required test to accelerate into biology for 9 th grade. Applications are due April 18 th! See your science teacher for more information. Only available to students currently enrolled in an Algebra I course in 8 th grade. WORLD LANGUAGE (Spanish, French, German) • Level 1 - You must have a recommendation from your English teacher • Level 2 – You must have a recommendation from your world language teacher

Intro to Engineering Design 1 Credit • This course introduces the engineering design process, applying math, science, and engineering standards to identify and design solutions to a variety of real problems • Students will work both individually and in collaborative teams • Topics include work-processes, optimization methods, design optimization, and risk management tools. • Students will use 2 D and 3 D modeling software to help them design solutions to solve proposed problems, document their work, and communicate solutions. • Students will interpret industry prints, and create working drawings from functional models. Emphasis is given to experimental problem solving in real systems.
