ROVER Tutorial This is a short tutorial prepared by EERI to walk you through the features of ROVER.

• To evaluate a “damaged building” during the exercise, go to http: //testbed. isti. com

• Enter the username and password that has been sent to you and click the login button

• Once you are logged in, you will see the welcome screen. Click the “Select ATC-20 (post-earthquake)” link

• When the Sites page is loaded, click “View list of your active sites and their assessments”

• Now you will see the site that has been assigned to you for this exercise. • To complete the form you can click either “Add Rapid” or “Add Detailed”. • Click “Add Rapid”

• Now you will see the rapid form on the screen • Please complete all fields as if you were assessing the damage of to this building after an earthquake. Shown on this screen are the Inspection, Building Description, and Evaluation questions.

• Scrolling down you will see the Posting, and Further Action sections. Make sure to select a placard color. Once you are finished entering information, Click submit at the bottom of the form.

• You will see a message confirming that you have created a Rapid Evaluation. • Click Sites at the top right of the screen.

• Now you see your assigned site listing. Notice that the options to Add Rapid or Add Detailed now say Edit Rapid or Edit Detailed. All the information you entered in the Rapid Evaluation is automatically stored in the Detailed Evaluation. • Click Edit Detailed

• The Detailed Evaluation looks the same as the Rapid Evaluation, but has additional questions in the Evaluation section, and scrolling down…

• Below the Evaluation section, to the right of Estimated Building Damage, we see a place to upload a sketch, which can be a photo and a text box for a caption. Upload a sample photo from your computer by clicking browse. • Once you have finished the Detailed Evaluation click submit at the bottom of the form

• You will see a message confirming that you have created a Detailed Evaluation. • Click Sites at the top right of the screen.

• Now you are taken back to you assigned site listing and you have completed the postearthquake evaluation. • Click logout at the top right of the screen.
