Evolution of the FLETC • 1927 -1970 – Treasury Law Enforcement Officers Training School • 1970 – Consolidated Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (CFLETC) – Bureau of the Department of the Treasury – Located in Beltsville, MD, and Washington, DC • 1975 – Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) – Base Closings led to establishment of FLETC facility at former Glynco Naval Air Station near Brunswick, GA. • 2003 – FLETC transferred from the Department of the Treasury to the newly created Department of Homeland Security FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY 2013 4
