Mission Statement Mission • To ensure that intelligence gathering and sharing functions within the FBI office in Houston are a coordinated effort across all investigative programs. The Field Intelligence Group (FIG) will serve as a “onestop shop” for the analysis and processing of raw intelligence gathered in the course of investigative activity, the timely processing of which will enhance the Divisions’ efficiency in regard to addressing the FBI’s highest investigative priorities. Program Benefits • Local Officers gain State mandated training credits, 4000 trained • Training is used for outreach and liaison purposes • Provides an avenue for information sharing at a minimal cost. • The development of the CTIG program has thus far incurred a cost of under $2, 500. 00 UNCLASSIFIED
TEXAS COASTAL REGION ADVISORY SYSTEM A web-based advisory system developed to assist the Houston Division’s JTTF in quickly disseminating information to participating partners within it’s territory.
The conventional forms of communication are slow and cumbersome! It was time to do something different!
WHAT TCRAS OFFERS TO THE PUBLIC! • Homeland Security threat level with the last date of change (Current status fades in & out) • Information on the critical asset sectors • Calendar of events for training, meetings, etc. • Information links to other FBI programs such as ANSIR, Infragard, Key Assets & WMD • Links to other Texas FBI field offices to include the Dallas Division’s Emergency Response Network
