Incorporating AD/Operations Does AD/Operations want to be involved with FAST studies? Yes, but there are limitations Currently there are 5 crews, 4 crews with 3 ops and 1 crew with 4 ops Muon Rings will be turned over to Operations once commissioned HAB operations will come online next fiscal year More operators are needed for staffing the MCR Headquarters needs to be convinced more operators are needed A dedicated operator on shift for FAST is not possible Certain times of the day require all ops for answering phones, issuing keys, responding to critical situations, etc. Aligning schedules of FAST operation and summer shutdown gives the best possibility of integration

Hands-on training sequencer aggregates ACNET pages synoptic displays Develop an OJT for Operations Troubleshooting and changing out regulator power supplies (our most common failure) Diagnosing utility issues like LCW or pneumatics Moving instrumentation in and out of the beam path Contacting the appropriate systems personnel Knowing the study plan ahead of schedule
