Fashion show with recycled material The clothes you are going to see have been created using only recycled materials. All the pupils from our school have collaborated to collect and to choose suitable materials to make fashion wear. The materials that were used are almost exclusively of nylon, in particular: Ø coloured rubbish bags Ø bubble wrap Ø shopping bags Ø hairdresser’s capes Ø picnic tablecloths Ø building trade fabrics Ø horticulture fabrics Ø florist’s nets Ø leftover plastic from a toy factory Ø general plastic objects Ø covers for books and exercise-books Ø other

The pupils of class 2^I took part in a workshop where, working in small groups, they designed and made clothes and accessories, contributing their imaginative and original ideas. The workshop began in January and finished in April. All the planned objectives have been achieved.

Flower garden The green colour prevails in this dress to suggest a meadow with splashes of pink colour: the flowers of spring. It has been made from plastic coated paper tablecloths.

Starlight night Van Gogh said that the stars at night were not of only one colour, but had reflections of yellow, green and violet, too. In this design the colour violet stands for the light of the stars. The materials we used are black and violet rubbish bags.

Sun The yellow and orange colours of this dress remind us of the sunlight, especially in summer. It has been made with a yellow bag, a florist’s net and some pieces of picnic tablecloth. The accessories are made with recycled industrial material.

Winter wind This dress has been created to represent the wind that blows everything about in the cold winter evenings, that are full of reflections, with shades from grey to black (glares) It has been made with nylon horticulture fabric and grey, opaque and glossy shopping bags.
