Conclusion • How well did you know the difference between a farm animal versus a zoo animal? • Use the see and say machine to allow children to hear each animal sound for comprehension. The scavenger hunt was incorporated into the activity to reinforce the children’s comprehension. Also, using the children’s artwork will encourage the children in the learning activity. • Create your own collage: • farm animals • zoo animals • Leave the props, see and say machine in the different areas (house area, art area, etc. ) so the children can go back and explore for repetition.

Rubric • Extension: • Allow children to locate the QR code and then (with assistance) scan the printed barcode to identify the animal type. If the child can not identify the animal allow extra time for the child to go back to prop, pictures in the book or the see and say machine to hear the sound of the animal. • Easier: • Focus on one animal at a time and then the sound the animal makes. • Harder: • Move the printed barcodes in new areas for the children to locate and then place onto the scanner. Ask children to identify the sound of the animal.
