Difference between old and New CNET module Question? à I have used XGL-CH 2 A for the RS-485 communication for now. But I heard that there is new CNET module like XGL-CH 2 B. I will try to change the module from XGL-CH 2 A to XGL-CH 2 B. What should I know about difference between them? 1
Difference between old and New CNET modules(XGL-C 22 B, XGL-C 42 B, XGL-CH 2 B) are now released for the better performance. Basic communication parameter and the way to use this modules are almost same. But there are some differences that we should to know before changing it. Appearance is changed like below. RS-232 C communication is the same. But RS-422/485 communication is a little bit changed. First of all, we use the 6 ports for wiring, so it should be rewired. And now we have the PE for the effective noise cut. and for checking the terminal resistance, ‘TER’ lamp is added on our new module. 2
Difference between old and New CNET module To use the upgraded CNET module, XG 5000 is also be updated. There are several things that is checked for the new CNET module. 1) Terminating Resisters: it is possible to set terminating resisters on XG 5000. 2) Smart Server: Smart server automatically analyzes the protocol(XGT, Modbus ASCII/RTU) automatically and operates as analyzed server. 3) Repeater Mode: It is a function for transmitting the received data to the other channel. 4) Stop Bit: Stop bit can be chosen 1 bit or 2 bits. 4) 1) 2) 3) 3

Difference between old and New CNET module LS Inverter LSBUS Protocol - Before modules is released, User defined communication is written for the LS PLC – LS Inverter communication with LSBUS protocol. But B type CNET module support the LS BUS Protocol. So P 2 P communication setting is much easier now.
