With hot weather on its way, it is important to stay hydrated. Limit sugary drinks and get plenty of water daily. Water is fuel for our bodies and it is important to replace the water that is lost each day. -Limit juice because it contains a lot of sugar. Choose whole fruits because they contain extra fiber and nutrients. -Cut back on sugary drinks slowly. You can add water to juice to cut down the sugar. -Offer water or low-fat milk instead of juice and soda. -Add cut up fruit to water to give it extra flavor. - Start your morning with a glass of water and continue to drink from a water bottle throughout the day. *Information can be found on the 5210 Let’s Go website.
