In 1993, the Florida Legislature passed legislation to establish an all volunteer Family Care

In 1993, the Florida Legislature passed legislation to establish an all volunteer Family Care Council (FCC) to be located in each service area of the Agency for Persons Disabilities (APD) in Chapter 393. 502, F. S. Each of the 15 FCCs are made up of Governor appointed members. The membership consisting of: Individuals with Developmental Disabilities Parents Guardians Siblings Grandparents
