Fall Out 4 - Protectron like this design because the body and head combine to make one piece and this makes it look exaggerated because the top is large but the legs and arms are thinner and long. I would in corporate this into my design because the contrast between length and volume adds characteristic to the robot without giving it an expression or movement. I also like the rusted, scared metal that gives it an aged/worn look because again it gives backstory to the character without necessarily explaining it. Ractchet & clank- Clank I like the design of Clank because its very traditional and cartoonish. Because the game is made for younger people it meets its target audience very well and I would like to make a childish, more playful robot that is foolish like clank. The fact it has large eyes and more humanoid features it allows emotion to come through in much higher quantity and can give it more life like qualities. Mega man I like Mega Mans design because it is defined by its colour scheme of blues which gives a recognisable theme to the franchise and allows the lack of detail to not be a downside but gives a childish super hero feel to the character and that gives him charm. I would use this as an improvement on my design by not being afraid to use colour to drive the character and show his personality. Metroid-Samus I like this concept because she has very bright colours that draw the plays eye to the character, because of the opposing colour scheme that uses harsh, vivid colours it makes her appear to be intimidating without compromising the style of the environment. I also like how she is plain and not over accessorised with unessorsary metal parts that would overthrow the practicality of the suit. This would be used in my character because I want to keep mine plain with more focus on how it would work in its environment and how useful it will if it was kept as minimal as possible. Robot Character Design Overwatch-Bastion I like this characters design because it is very stylised and fits in well with its environment. The large chunky parts on its shoulders and arms show where the focus of the image is and explains where the character would be most powerful because this character has two modes and so when it transforms this is where it houses the gun. This inspires my robot because I would like to have a stylised look to my robot with a more gentle side witch can be expressed through adding a small side detail that would appose theme e. g. bastions bird. Final fantasy 10 - robots enemies I do like the robots in ff 10 because they are very detailed and bulky like old fashioned designed ones. I love the over exaggeration of the hands and the fact that it would be impossible to have this functioning like it does because it fits in with the absurd environment in final fantasy.
