Censorship “‘It’s fine work. Monday burn Millay, Wednesday Whiteman, Friday Faulkner, burn em’ to

Censorship “‘It’s fine work. Monday burn Millay, Wednesday Whiteman, Friday Faulkner, burn em’ to ashes, then burn the ashes. Thats our official slogan. ’” (Bradbury, 8) In Montag’s world books and information are censored. Books are not to be read in his city. This takes away the right to freedom of thought. Montag would benefit from an organization like Reporters Without Borders. By telling them about a censorship issue, RWB would try to bring light to Montags issue and get other nations to help remove the censorship.

Government “‘Do you ever read any of the books you burn? ’ He laughed.

Government “‘Do you ever read any of the books you burn? ’ He laughed. ‘That’s against the law!’” (Bradbury, 8) Much of Montag’s world's problems stem from the government and how they handle situations. They decide to burn books, censor things, and put people behind bars. This takes away alot of their rights, such as freedom of election and the right to fair trial. An organization like Transparency International would help to remove the corruption from the government of Montags’ world.

Unlawful Imprisonment “‘They took him screaming off to the asylum. ’ ‘He wasn’t insane.

Unlawful Imprisonment “‘They took him screaming off to the asylum. ’ ‘He wasn’t insane. ’ Beatty arranged his cards quitely. ‘Any man’s insane who thinks he can fool the government and us. ’”(Bradbury, 33) Many human rights are taken by the government in Montag’s world. Many people are put into prisons or eliminated in order to achieve what the government wants. Their rights to free trial had been taken. An organization like Amnesty International would help the people of Montags world. Amnesty International brings light to worldwide issues and tries to prevent human rights violations.

Suicide “The small crystal bottle of sleeping tablets which earlier today had been filled with thirty capsules and which now lay uncapped and empty in the light of the tiny flame. (Bradbury, 13) Suicide plagues Montag's wife , Mildred. She has attempted it multiple times. Mildred had been taken from the idea of freedom of thought and had been removed from the right to health care by her government. Mildred would benefit from an organization like IASP providing help after her attempted suicides and bring suicide awareness for her and everyone who’s attempted it.
