ADA Compliance • Baker University is committed to providing “reasonable accommodations” in keeping with the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disability Act. • Students must provide appropriate documentation of the disability, which should include appropriate diagnostic testing and a recommendation form prepared by qualified personnel. • “Reasonable accommodations” will be determined by University staff in consultation with the student, faculty and/or staff member.

Payroll • Request NEW Expense Report forms from Leanna Walkowiak at leanna. walkowiak@bakeru. edu or 913. 344. 1230 • Reimbursement for Expenses, including mileage, tolls, duplication of non-copy-written material, are to be submitted at the end of the course. Original receipts must accompany expense report. • Notify if there any changes to address, names, phone numbers, tax information, etc.
Payroll • Adjunct Professors are paid at the end of the course. Example of payroll timeline: • Grades posted/uploaded by the 15 th will be paid on the 30 th/31 st , otherwise will be paid on the 15 th of following month (however, if the date occurs on a weekend the pay date is the Friday prior). The exception to this is during the month of December due to the holidays. • Substitutes are paid the pay period following the date of substitution.
Taskstream • Common Assessment Assignments are the same no matter which instructor teaches the course. The assignments have standardized rubrics that allow us to collect data as it pertains to program PLOs. • Taskstream is a program used to collect this data. It allows Baker to pull reports, submit data to HLC, and make program adjustments based on PLOs. • Taskstream will be rolled out to all programs and courses with Common Assessment Assignments. All CAA courses will use Taskstream January 1, 2016. • Webinar next month with more details!
Military Leave Policy • A student may request an Incomplete in a course where a military obligation impacts their ability to complete and submit coursework according to the syllabus deadlines. • Student will work with VA Certifying Official, Academic Advisor, and instructor prior to course starting • Documentation for approval sent to VA Certifying Official – Military Leave Form – Copy of Orders
Military Leave Policy • When submitting grades, leave military student’s grade blank • Fill out Grade Change Form instead and send to Registrar, Ruth Miller • At the end of the two week extension, fill out the same form with the updated grade and send it to Ruth Miller • If assignments are not completed at the end of the two week extension, the student receives an
