PROJECT DETAILS • On April 4, 2019, HCS staff presented to the BOE and the community a plan for enhancing our Facility Use process. As briefed, two changes will take place beginning on August 1, 2019: • Customer classification: Transition from two categories of facilities use customer (Class A and Class B) to three (Class A, Class B, and Class C). • 2 Fees: Increase existing fees by about 20%, and reframe distinction between commercial and noncommercial rates to a distinction between Class B and Class C rates. • Reservations made before 1 August will be managed and invoiced under the current rates and classifications. New rates and classifications will be published on the HCS Facility Use site on Friday July 26, 2019. •

CLASSIFICATIONS CURRENT (Until July 31, 2019) NEW (After August 1, 2019) Class A: HCS organizations, HCS affiliates (Boosters, PTAs), and character building organizations (Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts). No facility fee, support staff fees only. Class A: School organizations directly accountable to the Superintendent through the school principal (athletic boosters, PTA). No facility fee, pay support staff fees only. Class B: All other groups, which pay facility fees and support staff fees. Class B: Organizations that provide education related services to HCS without charging fees to students (Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts). Pay Class B facility fee, and support staff fees. Class C: All other groups, which pay Class C facility fees and support staff fees. 3
