AFS Accomplished Activities FY-2004 l WX-Product Classification – Primary and Supplementary – WX-APP HBAT in formal coordination in AFS – AIM Section 7 -1 -3 updated in 8/04 publication l Flight Information Services Data Link (FISDL) AC Successfully completed FAA Legal review Awaiting AC number assignment prior to publication Publication should occur in the upcoming weeks AIM updated to match FISDL AC, Section 7 -1 -11 submitted 8/04 for 2/05 publication. – Collaborated in developing Administrator’s new FIS policy letter – –

AFS Accomplished Activities FY-2004 l Current Icing Potential/Forecast Icing Potential (CIP/FIP) Operational Analysis – – l Presented at AWTT user meeting NTSB case law review Operational Review issues; lacking severity and type of ice Conclusion: remain restricted product Weather Products - Flight Operations Review Team (WX-FORT) AFS 200, 400, and 800 – Vision Statement - To enhance operational awareness in weather products – Operational testing for appropriate weather products – Expand programmatic milestones to include operational issues as part of the AWTT process.

AFS Planned Activities FY-2005 l GFA Guidance/Document Changes – Rough estimate (primary product) – NWS/FAA must commit to an implementation date due to required lead time on document changes – GFA must be mature enough in its configuration to begin document changes
