What is Ezproxy ? EZproxy is a web proxy server program extensively used by libraries to give access from outside the library's computer network to restricted-access websites that Authenticate users by IP address. This allows library patrons at home or elsewhere to log in through their library's EZproxy server and gain access to bibliographic databases and the like to which their library subscribes. http: //ezproxy. unimap. edu.

How it works? EZproxy is a customizable middleware program that provides access to your library's licensed content for your remote library users. It operates as an intermediary server between users and licensed databases. Users connect to EZproxy, then it connects on their behalf to your licensed databases to obtain web pages and send them back to users. Since EZproxy runs on a machine on your network, your database vendor sees the requests as coming from an IP address on our network, so it permits access. http: //ezproxy. unimap. edu.
