Instructions Fundus Diagrams • Draw red circle or white spot over appropriate disc to indicate eye laterality. • Concentric circles indicate arc distances and radial lines indicate clock minutes. • If necessary, refer to tables: • to get approximate locations of ora and limbus. • to convert clock minutes to arc millimeters (approximately). ©Bertil Damato, 2014
Arc Distance from Limbus to Fovea (mm) Number of Millimeters per Min or Hr Instructions External Eye Diagrams • Select diagram for appropriate eye. • Blue disc indicates cornea. • If necessary, refer to tables: • to get approximate distance of fovea from limbus. • to convert clock minutes to arc millimeters (approximately). • Fovea is represented by one of the outer rings, according to fovea-limbus distance. • Extraocular muscles are brown. Locations are approximate. ©Bertil Damato, 2014

Useful Apps and Websites (October 12, 2014) http: //incompetech. com/graphpaper/polar : for creating polar graphs http: //www. handymath. com/calculators. html : for calculating arc lengths. https: //github. com/sprang/Brushes : a simple drawing app but does not work with IOS 8. All images and functionality will be lost if IPa. D is updated. Drawing apps from Adobe currently free (October 12, 2014) http: //www. adobe. com/products/draw. html : a drawing app. There are several others I haven’t yet tried out. https: //itunes. apple. com/us/app/mybrushes-pro-draw-paint-sketch/id 557477822? mt=8 another drawing app. When selecting a drawing app, look for: • reliability – that is, an organization with a track record and good reviews • user-friendliness – to be able to draw quickly and easy in a busy environment • layers – to be able to build drawings over a photograph and to update sketches Remember to comply with HIPAA and Data Protection regulations in your region. My filenames only have the patient’s initials and date before I send them to a secure hospital system. Any feedback would be most welcome. Bertil Damato. B@vision. UCSF. edu ©Bertil Damato, 2014
