What is Extinction Ø Extinction is when there absolutely no animals or plants left in a breed or type, like if there are no lions or daisies left on the planet they become extinct.

Animals That Are Close To Being Extinct Ø There about 30 Amur Leopards left in the wild. Ø “ “ 1864 Pandas left in the wild. Ø “ “ 7000 Snow leopards left in the wild. Ø These numbers may sound like a lot (except Amur Leopards, 30 is barely anything) but you must remember there around 7. 6 BILLION to these animals thousands, and this is only 3 species, there loads more animals that are endangered or close to becoming endangered all over the world and it is all our fault.

Plants Are Close To Being Extinct Ø Plants are endangered as well. Ø If you search up Arizona Agave you will be shocked to find out that in 1984 there were less than 100 of this plant on the planet and are still declining today. Ø Enrubio is a bush in Puerto Rico, there were only 150 in left in 1992 and there are even less today.

How You Can Help Ø You can help by supporting charities like WWF, RSPB, WDC, AND RSPCA. Ø Or you can protest against things that cause extinction i. e habitat loss and hunting
