www. archive. org This site will host audio or video files for free. The interface and response is a bit slow, but it is free. Best used in combination with the next site.
www. ourmedia. com Our. Media provides the best interface to upload files to www. archive. org.
Downloadable tool for uploading large files.
www. blogger. com n Blogger. com is a site that will host your personal web log for free. n Once everything is set up, you ONLY update this site whenever you have a new file uploaded.
Example Blog: http: //Sciencetheater. blogspot. com n An example Blog – There are many options to format things according to your preferred color schemes, etc… – If you plan on podcasting your site on i. Tunes, it helps to make a pretty little graphic image to advertise
www. feedburner. com n Feedburner is used to “encapsulate” your Blog on www. blogger. com and set things up so an RSS reader or i. Tunes can be aware of new files and their format.
Example RSS Feed Note the little “play me” buttons indicating the feed is correctly encapsulated.
Turn on i. Tunes options Setting things up for i. Tunes over on Feed. Burner is as simple as filling in the blanks under “Smart. Cast”.
Submit Feed to i. Tunes Start up i. Tunes and go to the “submit Podcast” section and simply type in the URL for the Podcast feed. (You get this from Feed. Burner…)
