THE PROJECT • Investigation focused on self- and group- motivation within multiple online cross-cultural project management courses. • Observation of learning behaviors and associated motivational factors. • Examination of the relationship between an adult e. Learning approach including external certification preparation and the learner motivation and involvement.
FURTHER DESIGN IMPLICATIONS • Current LMS : No supporting self- and group- motivation or allowing means to identify skills and knowledge for external certification. • In this investigation: Affordances need to directly match the tools and evaluation techniques used to support self- and groupmotivation associated with certification in online project management courses.
IDEAS FOR TOOL DESIGN • N measurements of motivation and collaboration – – Presence Forum discussion participation (number, relevance…) Activities participation (number, weight of contributions…) Etc. • Aggregation of measures • Display on the students’ collaboration profile
