Overall E & F Scheduling Process • Pre-Appointment • Look over resources and investigate clerkships and electives that interest you • Think about when you need time off for Step study and residency interviews (typically 4 consecutive weeks for each) • Phase 1 • • Students will be assigned an appointment time in a random order Schedule 1 sub-internship or 1 advanced patient care clerkship Schedule two 4 -week electives Schedule no more than eight credits per quarter, to evenly distribute clerkships throughout the year for all students • Phase 2 • • Students will be assigned an appointment time in the reverse order of the Phase 1 appointments (the last will be first) Schedule your other advanced patient care clerkship/sub-internship Schedule the remaining three 4 -week electives Schedule no more than eight credits per quarter to evenly distribute clerkships throughout the year for all students • Phase 3 • Rearrange clerkship schedule as necessary, always remaining at grad requirements

What if I need to Change my Phase 1 or Phase 2 Appointment Time?

What if I need to Change my Phase 1 or Phase 2 Appointment Time? • If you have a time conflict, you may swap appointment times with another student or take an empty appointment slot of your choosing AFTER your originally assigned time. • You must notify your scheduler of your plans (somreg@uw. edu). • You may not move your appointment to earlier than your originally assigned time. • If you miss your appointment or if you're late, you can reschedule for the next empty appointment slot AFTER your assigned time. • You can also keep your assigned appointment time if you're late, but, to keep things as fair as possible, your appointment must end at the assigned time.
