Now, we are going to apply this learning to your contraption planning. • Use your knowledge and understanding of the explanation text toolkit to help you plan out the structure of your piece of writing. • You might do this very roughly on a piece of paper, showing what your piece of writing might look like. • Think about where you will put titles, headings and diagrams. • Will the headings be in a different font? • Will you use boxes for some parts of the explanation? • Will you need a glossary and what will it look like? • You do not need to include all the detail at the moment.
