Acidosalus® ¡ Protective in situ effect of Lactobacillus is described through a series of mechanisms: Competition with pathogenic bacteria for receptors ¡ Coaggregation impossible adherency of pathogens ¡ Creation of antimicrobial substances: lactic and acetic acid ( p. H), H 2 O 2, diacetyl and bacteriocin: lactacyd, acidophilucin, acidophilin ¡ Boris et al. , Infect Immun 66 (1998)

Favourable therapeutic effect of Lactobacillus: Therapeutic effect presupposes peroral use of live or lyophilized bacteria aiming at colonization of the gastrointestinal system (oral cavity, duodenum, small and large intestine) or throat and oral cavity ¡ Intravaginal instillation –local application of live or lyophilized bacteria aiming at colonization of the vaginal epithelium ¡ Acidosalus®

Application of Acidosalus® : Why are laryngology and phoniatrics chosen? • Interconnections of pathology of the gastrointestinal vs. respiratory system • GERD and GLRD as obvious examples of effects of the reflux mechanism from the gastrointestinal to the respiratory (phonatory) system • Occurence of certain pathological conditions which cannot be eradicated neither by conventional nor surgical therapy GERD and GLRD Papillomatosis (HPV) of the larynx, hypopharinx, oral cavity Fungal infections in these areas Possibility of objective digital documentation

CONCLUSIONS • Using techniques of objective test evaluation for parts of the respiratory, gastrointestinal

CONCLUSIONS • Using techniques of objective test evaluation for parts of the respiratory, gastrointestinal and phonatory systems, it is possible with great accuracy to monitor effects after therapeutic treatment • These are techniques of digital visualization in both static and dynamic form, including slow motion, and these are executed at the Phoniatrics Centre of the ORL CLINIC Šalata, the Reference Centre of the Croatian Health Ministry • The authors of this research gave such methodology priority over the questionnaire in this review Acidosalus®

CONCLUSIONS Although the number of subjects should be increased, the presented objective clinical documentation

CONCLUSIONS Although the number of subjects should be increased, the presented objective clinical documentation shows the effects of Acidosalus® in cases of complex clinical conditions which result from disturbed local or overall immunity of the organism, i. e. biological balance. PROBIOTICS ARE PRECISELY THAT WHICH RESTORES THE BALANCE Acidosalus®
