EXCEEDING GRACE PART 2

Text Ephesians 2: 1 -10

What is grace? • The unmerited favour of God. • It is the love provoked favour of God towards us. • The grace of God is the greatest expression of the love of God. • It is God’s overwhelming desire to treat us as if sin never happened. • It is the finger of God in the life of a man (Exodus 8: 19).

What is grace? • Grace is the maker of men (1 Corinthians 15: 10). • The grace of God is the manifest glory of God in action. • Christianity is simply an expression of grace. And the profitability of Christianity is a function of understanding. Therefore, what we do with His grace determines where we find ourselves.

Acronym for Grace G - God's R - Riches A - At C - Christ's E – Expense

• The Grace of God cannot be bought, neither does it come by wishing, it is a gift of God (Ephesians 2: 8). • Redemption is our visa to the treasures of grace. Obedience of faith is the ticket, and Love is the price!

§ Grace must be accessed. The primary way of accessing God’s grace is through Faith – Rom. 4: 16 -17. § GRACE BOUGHT IT, BUT FAITH TAKES IT!

Different Measures of Grace 1. True Grace – 1 Peter 5: 12. 2. All Grace – 2 Cor. 9: 8; 1 Peter 5: 10. 3. More Grace – James 4: 6. 4. Great Grace – Acts 4: 33. 5. Abundant Grace – 2 Cor. 4: 15. 6. Manifold Grace – 1 Peter 4: 10. 7. Exceeding Grace – Eph. 2: 6 -7; 2 Cor. 9: 14.

Kingdom Stewardship Kingdom stewardship is the avenue for multiplication of grace. Serving God is big time business; it is not fun, but it has huge or big returns. § Exodus 23: 25 -26; Psalm 102: 13 -14. § Unusual commitment for unparalleled grace. How? § Practical commitment to Kingdom promotion endeavours: Physically and Spiritually through soul winning – Mark 10: 29 -30; Matt. 28: 19; John 4: 36.

Kingdom Stewardship Examples 1. Joseph – Genesis 39: 4 -6. You can’t be a Kingdom servant and lack grace! 2. Daniel – Daniel 6: 20, 22, 28. Daniel became relevant in three dispensations of government spanning over 65 yrs. 3. Paul – 1 Cor. 9: 19 -23; 1 Cor. 15: 9 -10.

Divine Wisdom Proverbs 4: 7; 8: 12 -21; 2: 6.

Divine Wisdom § The operation of divine wisdom provokes the release of surpassing grace in all generations. § King Solomon walked in uncommon grace of God by virtue of the Wisdom of God in his life – 2 Chronicles 9: 22 -28. § Joseph as prime minister in Egypt – Gen. 41: 37 -41; 45: 8. Wisdom was the secret of the grace at work in Joseph’s life.

Please, note, the Wisdom that releases grace is NOT natural wisdom, diabolic, nor academic; it is from above. Divine Wisdom provokes the Exceeding Grace (James 3: 17; Prov. 2: 6).

Virtues of Divine Wisdom 1. It gives relevance to the believer – Prov. 8: 12, 15; Psa. 105: 17 -22. Rulers are always in high demand Wisdom makes a ruler out of you. 2. It guarantees triumph – Gen. 45: 4 -8. Joseph triumphed and became the preserver of their lives. 3. It makes saviours out of men – Obadiah 21; Neh. 9: 27 KJV. Saviours: men and women who are the answers to the prayers of others on earth!

Please, understand that this Wisdom of God in totality is available to all believers James 1: 5; Rev. 5: 12. Therefore, as the redeemed of the Lord, you have the potential to never be stranded!

How Do I Provoke Divine Wisdom? I. Through Prayer – James 1: 5; Matt. 7: 7; Ephesians 1: 17. II. Through Divine Revelation of God’s Word – Luke 11: 49; Rom. 11: 33. The Bible is a treasure of Wisdom. III. By Faith – 1 Cor. 2: 16; John 17: 6 -8.

Prayer 1. Lord, I desire and ask for the fresh outpouring of the Spirit of wisdom upon my life, now, in the mighty Name of Jesus. 2. My Lord and God, change my story for the better, by Your grace, perfect and complete all that concerns me. 3. Holy Spirit, You are my Helper. Help me to always be at the right place at the right time, the remaining months of this year in Jesus’ precious Name.
