General Aim help the user - independent of his thermal knowledge - to find the best way to the required thermal conductivity/thermal diffusivity values by: • guiding to an appropriate properties database, • guiding to the optimum measurement technique and measurement laboratory, • guiding to an instrument suppliers who can provide appropriate measuring equipment. Tasks: Compile guides to measurement techniques, standards and calibration Compile information on written standards and reference materials Compile qualified data on engineering and insulating materials evitherm MTR, Sep 04 Selection criteria • thermophysical property • range of property and temperature • type of material and its physical state • sample geometry • geographical situation • qualification of laboratory Assisting instruments • introductory script • definition of material groups • selection of optimum database • contribute to an evitherm-database by developing a data transfer system directly from measurement laboratory to database Ruediger Brandt, IKE

Summary of work to be completed Important for testing of practicability of mask and testing of its incorporation into the evitherm properties database which is expected to bee established within the very next future *) evitherm MTR, Sep 04 Ruediger Brandt, IKE
