Tuition Rates 2016/2017 Lower Division (up to 56 credits) Flat Rate
University Fee University fee: $312 per semester fee for the fall and winter semesters for all undergraduate students enrolled in 12 or more credits and all graduate students enrolled in eight or more credits. 2016 -2017 rate
Activity Fee Student Discretionary Activity Fee $35. 22 This fee is collected during fall and winter semesters from all graduate, undergraduate, and vocational students carrying six or more on-campus credit hours Northwind, WUPX, ASNMU, SFC Campus Cinema, First Aid Productions, Student Art Gallery, Northern Arts & Entertainment, and Platform Personalities 2016 -2017 rate
Residence Hall Meal Plans • All Students living on campus are required to participate in a Residence Hall Meal Plan. • Freshman living on campus are required to be on the Constant Meal Plan. Web site for Dining Services: www. nmu. edu/dining

Student Athletic Event Fee § $246 non-refundable one-time fee § Charged to all full-time (12 credit hours or more) freshman, new undergraduate and transfer students. (Transfers with 56 or more credits are charged $123. 00) This allows free attendance to football, volleyball, basketball, and hockey games. For six years 2016/2017 rate
PEIF Recreation Membership* $79 per semester *Refundable by 5 th day of semester § Includes use of all recreational facilities and intramural activities § Access to Superior Dome (track for running and walking, tennis and field use). § Includes aerobic classes, racquetball courts, weight room, pool, climbing wall, basketball courts, etc. § Drop-in hockey and figure skating * Rates when enrolled for six or more credits 2016/2017 rate § Reduced rates on Outdoor Recreational Center Equipment rentals.
Course Fees § Art and Design courses: $5 per credit § Music courses: $35 per credit (except Music in Society) § Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy and Geography/Environmental Science courses: $20 per credit § Radiography Clinic experience courses: $50 per course § Technology and Occupational Sciences courses 100 -level and higher: $20 per credit
Billing Information • Payments are calculated after Financial Aid is applied. • Payments are based on outstanding account balances (charges may be added through the semester such as single room, parking, Health Center, etc. ) • There is a $25 dollar late fee if payments are not made on time. Payment Options • Pay in full ØTuition and fees paid in full by Wednesday, August 10, 2016 Ø Bills will be sent via e-mail only, paper bills will not be sent • Easy Pay Plan 4 payments of tuition and fees (plus room and board, if applicable) due Aug. 10, Sept 10, Oct 10, and Nov 10 ($50 non-refundable service fee charge applied to bill) • Deferred ØIf Payment you use this plan you do not make an August payment. You must sign up on-line by the tuition due date. ($75 set-up fee applied to bill) Ø Payment due by September 10.

New Federal Requirements – Violence Against Women Act Must educate new students regarding sexual violence We are using a program called Campus Clarity § Attempts to prepare students BEFORE they begin college. § Provides a foundation relating to sex in college, partying smart, sexual violence, and healthy relationships. § Tracks how their behavior and attitude shift. § Checks in with them when they return for their second semester. We have asked students to complete the program this summer – the link will be sent to them.
