European Science Café Houston, Texas An initiative of the European Consulates in Houston The Consulates General of European Countries in Houston invite you to listen to a presentation on Post-Nanomedical Vistas Join us for a friendly evening with Dr. Mauro Ferrari. Nanomedicine is well established in the cancer clinic, but has it met all the expectations yet ? What comes next, what can we learn from the successes and failures of nanomedicine to envision new, beneficial transformations in healthcare? Free event Official language: English December 01 Thursday 7. 00 – 8. 30 pm Drinks orders: 6. 30 - 7 pm, before the presentation Dr. Mauro Ferrari serves as President and CEO of Houston Methodist Research Institute (HMRI), where he holds the Ernest Cockrell, Jr. Presidential Distinguished Chair. He is also Director of the Houston Methodist Institute for Academic Medicine and Executive Vice President of the Houston Methodist Hospital System. He concurrently serves at Senior Associate Dean and Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College, in New York, and holds Adjunct and Honorary Professorships at many universities around the world. Dr. Ferrari is an Italian founder of biomedical nano/micro-technology, especially in their applications to drug delivery, cell transplantation, implantable bioreactors, and other innovative therapeutic modalities.
