Structure Day 1: • Up to 15 stakeholder workshops to contribute to the main themes of the conference • A compact opening session centred round a high- level political panel: Commissioner Vella, national ministers, MEP, Maritime Business CEO • Inspirational speaker to provide input • Conclusions and Networking reception

Structure Day 2: • 5 thematic sessions: 1) Investing in blue growth, 2) Improving ocean governance, 3) Boosting skills development, 4) Harnessing clean energy, 4) Facilitating joint roadmaps • • Reporting/harvesting session Panel: DG MARE, GROW, EPSC, NGO, Dutch Pres. Conclusions by DG and end of public conference High Level Focal Point

Stakeholder workshops • Stakeholder Info event held 18 November • Call for workshops launched 24 November • Deadline for proposals 18 January • 3 -4 speakers max per workshop to leave time for interactive discussion • Online forum to prepare WS + participation • Each workshop to propose/vote on 3 practical, actionable recommendations/ conclusions

Criteria for WS assessment Workshop proposals will be assessed according to the following criteria: (1) The proposal contributes to at least one of thematic sessions (2) The format/methodology of the workshop is interactive (3) The workshop aims to deliver actionable conclusions (4) The content is well-focused and the speakers are of high quality
