Assembly of Delegates The democratic heart of EAN is the Assembly of Delegates, consisting of: - Individual Delegates - National Delegates representing the 47 member societies of EAN. The Assembly of Delegates is held each year at the EAN annual congress and its delegates are responsible for: - Election of the EAN Board members - Amendments to the EAN bylaws - Approval of the EAN annual accounts - Endorsement of major decisions made by the EAN Board © ean | page 3

Education Committee Educational Grants Clinical Fellowship to provide a well-defined clinical observational experience in a department with recognised expertise in a specific field outside the home country - Duration of 6 weeks in the Hosting Department - Grant of € 2, 250 (1, 500/month), plus travelling costs (maximum of 300 Euro of travelling costs) - Eligible for residents of neurology, fluent in English, from an EAN member country that have been accepted by an approved host department In 2018, the EAN will again offer 35 Clinical Fellowships. Education Committee Educational Grants Training & Experience Research Fellowship to lead either to completion of a higher degree, a grant application or peer-reviewed publication & high quality research experience to pursue a research career - Duration of 12 months for Research training fellowship - Duration of at least 6 months for Research experience fellowship - Grant of € 2, 000/month plus travel expenses of up to € 500; - Eligible for residents of neurology, fluent in English or the local language, from an EAN member country, affiliated to a European academic neurological department, who are individual members The EAN was able to award 4 Research Training Fellowships and 3 Research Experience Fellowships for 2017. Education Committee Educational Events Spring School - 4 -day teaching course on different topics - In Stare Splavy, Czech Republic - Accommodation, tuition, board and programme are covered by EAN , participants pay only for travel - Eligible for those who have at least 2 years of clinical experience and have not yet completed residency/training in neurology or no more than 5 years since completing training; applicants must be EAN members - Capacity of up to 120 participants Application open: 1 November 2017 – 31 January 2018 © ean | page 8

Brain - Online learning program to support training and continuous professional development - Training content comprises approximately 20 modules of e-learning, with each of the 550+ individual lessons taking around 20 minutes to complete - Free-of-charge access for National Society members & EAN individual members European Journal of Neurology - CME articles - Every month one article is chosen for online learning, accessible free-of-charge on the EAN website e.
