Defining Ethnography • • • It involves various techniques and creative engagements into objects of enquiry to Extract feelings, emotions, Perceptions rooted into social structures and spatial relations. Many a time, the conventional techniques of gathering data do not bring revelations regarding the targeted research objectives. At such junctures deeper enquiry into life experiences through case studies, observations, personal interviews, etc can bring out the individualized experiences that later can be culminated into a larger social theory. With the resurgence of human geography in post 1960 s as an important discourse in social research, wider use of ethnography became very common in geographical research.
