Significant Safety Achievements- 9/16 • • Two Level 3 Work Activities went through the annual renewal process. A draft 2017 Self Assessment Plan was developed and distributed for comment prior to being submitted. Three new Level 3 Work Activities were developed for the Qualified Electrical Workers in each division. All Level 2 Work Activities were reviewed and updated for content. We also looked at work authorization levels and assigned workers. All remaining equipment in the B 70 hallway cabinets was checked for NRTL status and entered into the EEIP database for inspection. Multiple walkthroughs of B 62, B 70, and B 977 lab areas were performed in anticipation of next month’s DOE chemical safety assessment. ETA Safety Alerts were issued for: – – • Incompatible Chemical Storage Damaged Power Cord Chemical Inventory in CMS (Re-issue) Labeling Secondary Containers (Re-issue) I gave two safety presentations at the County of Santa Clara’s annual Safety Fair.
