Esther 6 1. On that night the king couldn’t sleep, he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king. 2 And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, 2 of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. 3 And the king said, What honor & dignity has been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered him, There is nothing done for him.

4 And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman had come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak to the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him. 5 And the king's servants said to him, Behold, Haman stands in the court. And the king said, Let him come in 6 So Haman came in. And the king said to him, What shall be done to the man whom the king delights to honor? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honor more than to myself?

7 And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delights to honor, 8 Let the royal apparel be brought which the king wears, and the horse that the king ride upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head: 9 And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man whom the king delights to honor, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city & proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delights to honor.

10 Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as you have said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sits at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that you have spoken. 12 And Mordecai came again to the king's gate But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered. 13 And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends everything that had happened Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife to him, If Mordecai is a Jew, before whom you hast begun to fall, you shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him. 14 And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

Chapter 7 1. “So the King and Haman came to the banquet with Esther the queen. 2. And the King said again to Esther on the 2 nd day at the banquet of wine. What is your petition, Queen Esther? It shall be granted to you. What is your request? It shall be performed, even to half the kingdom. ”

3. Then Esther the Queen answered and said If I have found favor in your sight, O King, and if it please the King, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request. 4. For we are to be sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy couldn’t countervail the King’s damage. The King is outraged…. and asks Esther Who is he? Where is he who dares to do this evil? ”

6. ”And Esther said, the adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. And Haman was afraid before the King and the Queen. The King was so angry he had to leave the room. Haman began to beg Esther for his life. When the King returned he found Haman had fallen upon the bed where Esther was. The King ordered Haman’s death!

The servants told the King that Haman had built a gallows for Mordecai at his house. Then the King said, Hang him thereon. ” So they hung Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the King’s wrath pacified. Esther 7: 9 -10

Haman reaped what he sowed! s Proverbs 26: 27 Whoever digs a pit - will fall into it; If someone rolls a stone it will roll back on them.

Mordecai’s relationship to Esther was revealed and Mordecai was promoted to Haman’s position as highest in the Kingdom next to the King, wearing the King’s ring. Messengers were sent throughout the Kingdom, Giving the Jews the right to defend themselves from their enemies And they did…. . defeat their enemies!
