About PWD Public works department is one of the oldest departments of India which create assets and spends money of the government by constructing various projects, which help for development of nation.

Present situation ? As per the government rule there are various stages in sanctioning the project. From the preparation of first block estimate to final work order. But due to sanctioning same project estimate at various stages, it is quite difficult to issue work order as early as possible.

Traditional method Sr. Steps 1. Submission of Project priority list 60 Days 2. Block estimate for A/A 90 Days 3. Detailed estimate for T/S 90 Days 4. Tendering process 45 Days 5. Final work order 30 Days Total 315 Days

Disadvantages of traditional method? • • Delay in work. Repeated work. Cost consuming. Change of scope due to time. Need of revised estimate. Less control on other work. Faith decrease on Govt. employee's Unnecessary burden on Govt. Budget

Government Process Re-Engineering • Submit Block Estimate in proper format of A/A for priority. • As soon as A/A given by Govt. same estimate can fetch from Govt website for giving T/S by respective authority. • After T/S immediately Executive engineer can upload same estimate for tendering process. • After opening of tender computer can upload automaically final work order for agency for doing work.
