Economy • • Eritrea has no official economy type, but it almost has a command economy This is because the government tries to control the imports and exports, but due to internal and external conflicts, it is difficult Imports include machinery, food, and manufactured goods Exports include livestock, sorghum, and textiles Export: Livestock Import: Machinery
Economy • • • Eritrea is not currently in a very good economic state, but is progressively becoming better It's war with Ethiopia caused many problems After independence, Eritrea has faced numerous economic problems such as unemployment and illiteracy which is needed to have a stable economy This table portrays Eritrea's growing economy

Climate • • Temperature and rainfall in Asmara, Eritrea The altitude difference in Eritrea causes extreme variation in climate Thus, some areas of the country have a summer high of 122 degrees fahrenheit and a winter low below freezing
Flag • • The red triangle stands for the bloodshed for independence, the blue stands for marine wealth, and the green triangle stands for the agricultural wealth The olive wreath symbolizes peace and came from the United Nations The Eritrean flag
Currency • • • The Eritrean currency is called the Nakfa One Nakfa equals to 100 cents Notes come in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 nakfas Coins also come in denominations of 1, 5, 10, 25, 50, and 100 cents 1 USD = 15 Nakfa (as of April 26)
