An exchange between 2 entrepreneurs • New Entrepreneurs – Less than 3 years of activity or in development – Need entrepreneurial skills and/or a knowledge of the European market – Want to develop an international network • Host Entrepreneurs – Founder or manager of a SME since at least 3 years – Wish to share his/her entrepreneurial experience – Want a new regard on his/her company and develop an international network

How does it work? • Both of the entrepreneurs apply on the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneur platform • www. erasmus-entrepreneurs. eu • They each choose an Intermediary Organization who will be their contact for the application process and during the lenght of the exchange • The Intermediary Organizations will assess the application, propose relationship, manage the contract/commitment and the financial assistance for the New Entrepreneur

The programme ends in January 2017. • Both of the Entrepreneurs are supported technically ; and financially for the New Entrepreneur, by his/her Intermediary Organization and the European Commission • The Intermediary Organization will evaluate the outcomes of the exchange

STEP 1: Online application www. erasmus-entrepreneurs. eu • NE definition: would-be NE firmly planning

STEP 1: Online application www. erasmus-entrepreneurs. eu • NE definition: would-be NE firmly planning to start their own business; NE running their own business for less than 3 years. • Participation criteria: substantiated and clear business plan, with description of product / service to be offered; market analysis (target, competitors, marketing and sales plan); financial plan (estimated expenses and income in the following 2 years and break-even analysis).

STEP 2: Searching & Matching • A suitable business partner for Nes can be found in a number of different ways by: direct search in the online catalogue (for sector, country, languages, duration); the matchmaking tool; preexisting matches; specific searches by directly contacting other Ios.

STEP 3: Contracting and preparation • Initiating a relationship means proposing a relationship and

STEP 3: Contracting and preparation • Initiating a relationship means proposing a relationship and drafting the Commitment (may take up to 2 months). • Nes can propose up to 5 relationships at the same time; direct contact between Ne and Host Entrepreneur is strongly recommended before confirming the final match. • The NIO (intermediary organisation for the NE) is in charge of drafting the Commitment with the imputs from NE and HE: the document establishes objectives of the exchange, activity plan, responsibilities, expected outcomes, duration, planned start, end dates, etc.

End of the programme by January 2017 (by this date the exchange has to be finished). • Agreement for financial support to NE: payment of monthly lump sums (pre-defined per country); to cover all necessary expenses (travel, accommodation and subsistence). • Pre-departure induction course for NE: information on internal market, law issues, support services. • Pre-departure training course for NE: Business negotiations; Business plan; E-business; HR Management; Interpersonal skills; Marketing; Social economy entities; Strategic management.

(max. 6 months). • On-site support (local assistance and Welcome Pack) and monitoring of relationships (activity report) by Host IO.

STEP 5: Feedback • Evaluation of exchange by entrepreneurs (both NE and HE) after
