Vendor Participation • It was decided that vendor participation should be limited to only the vendors that are participating in this workshop. • The following vendors have an interest in participating in an IOP Test this year: – Siemens PTI - Yes – GE - Yes – Areva - Maybe – Siemens EMS - Maybe © 2005 Project Consultants, LLC All rights reserved. Test Issues • Need to review and validate the Steady State Planning Profile • Need test models: – GE and Siemens PTI will provide the PSS/E and PSLF demo models for use in the tests. – ERCOT and possible other planning models may be available for use in the tests • Must develop independent validation tools for the models used in the test • Must decide what schema will be used for the model (RDF, XML, OWL, etc. ) © 2005 Project Consultants, LLC All rights reserved. Test Content • Initial IOP will validate only the Steady State Profile • Want to test the following scenarios: – Planning to Planning (GE and PTI) – Operations to Planning (Areva, GE, PTI, Siemens EMA) – Planning to Operations (Areva, GE, PTI, Siemens EMA) © 2005 Project Consultants, LLC All rights reserved. Test Content • Initial IOP Test Contents are: – Full Model import of a base models – Full Model export of an imported models – Power Flow against all imported models – Full Model import of previously exported models – Validate all models (using both import/export software and an independent validation tool) © 2005 Project Consultants, LLC All rights reserved. Test Schedule • Vendors need time to review and modify/validate the profile • Vendors need time to develop models that are in compliance with the profile • Vendors need time to develop software • Best Schedule for majority of the Vendors is the same week as the IEC/Operational IOP 10 (week of September 17, 2007) • Another possible week would be mid-October 2007 © 2005 Project Consultants, LLC All rights reserved. Next Steps • Margaret to set up E-Group for mail distribution and file storage • Conference calls will be scheduled for mid-May and first of June • After June 1, when final requirements are complete, begin biweekly conference calls • Provide input to group concerning RDF vs. XML Schema • Margaret to send email to Paul Gerber and David Bogen to request participation as Test Witnesses • Test Report will be published within 30 days following test. © 2005 Project Consultants, LLC All rights reserved.
