Leon B – Year 6 This image is Frederick Banting, a scientist who discover insulin and its therapeutic properties. Leon put the image it into an app that turned it into a collage. He then used diabetes items such as date test strips, test strip packets, used libre sensors, used insulin pods and insulin pod packaging and stuck them onto the collage to create the image.

Harriet The picture is all about how, no matter which religion you believe in, God is always there, despite not always being able to see him. I showed this by making a vague face out of the stars, which represented God's face, and how when it's cloudy you can't always see the stars, they are always there. This was meant to be like God: when something bad happens, you are not always sue God is here. My inspiration for this was a short phrase in a book named the Silver Sword. the phrase says 'Ruth would try and got to sleep with the image of Daniel and the lions, though sometimes if she was sad, then she could only see the lions' teeth shimmering in the dark. When she was happier, she could see Daniel's brave and proud face after he defeated the lions. ' I thought this was very inspirational and true, even if you do not believe in God. If you have a terrible day, then you run out of hope and forget its there, but it is always there. If you look carefully at the work, then you will see that some of the thicker stars are in the shape of a face, which is God's. Despite a star not actually being God, it still has meaning and I hope people will recognise this. What I like most about my work is the fact that it can relate to any religion, anyone and anything. What I hope this piece of art will do is remind people to have hope, or keep believing in whatever it is they believe in. I think this piece of work ties in nicely with the current circumstances of the coronavirus crisis, as it tells people to keep believing and hoping that we will be able to see family and friends again soon. That we will be able to go back to school and work. That we will be able to go on holidays and day trips in time. We just have to be patient, and keep believing. This is not my finished work. I would like to make it into a Power. Point theme, with edited photographs of different beliefs and worship places. I think this would represent me more, as photography is one of my favourite hobbies. I would set out the Power. Point like a video, and play fitting music, but I don't know which music yet.

Exhausted Earth by Oscar Hinks God looked down at the Earth’s tired face Oscar

Exhausted Earth by Oscar Hinks God looked down at the Earth’s tired face Oscar H – Year 6 And questioned, “What have my children done to this place? ” We were given an Earth to love and treasure So we can pass it on for future generation’s pleasure. But we have choked the Earth with our selfish ways The oceans and seas are now full of plastic and waste We need to save God’s good Earth with an action plan And let the Earth breathe for all species and not just man. We have to conserve the Earth and be thankful for This place God has given man or it will be no more. So be responsible and grateful for God’s green earth And man will truly see it for what it is worth. Commentary: I chose to write a poem about God’s Good Earth to highlight the way mankind is neglecting to care for and conserve the Earth for future generations. It questions what man has done to the Earth through pollution, waste and the use of plastic, which has contaminated and ‘choked’ the Earth. I try to show that our actions don’t just affect humans but also other species that inhabit the planet. I stress the need for us all to be thankful for what we have and do our upmost to conserve the earth. We should be grateful that God has ‘created’ a canvas of green and blue and we should ensure the colours keep on shining bright. In conclusion, this poem expresses that mankind should learn to treasure and look after the Earth.
