Blessed are you, Sovereign God, our light and our salvation: All to you be praise and glory for ever.
You gave your Christ as a light to the nations, All and through the anointing of the Spirit, you established us as a royal priesthood.
As you call us into your marvellous light, All may our lives bear witness to your truth and our lips never cease to proclaim your praise.
Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit: All Blessed be God for ever!
That this evening may be holy, good and peaceful, let us pray with one heart and mind.

GOD’S MYSTERY revealed in Christ
PSALM Psalm 80 part 2 (Good News Translation)
12 Why did you break down the fences around it? Now anyone passing by can steal its grapes; 13 wild hogs trample it down, and wild animals feed on it.
14 Turn to us, Almighty God! Look down from heaven at us; come and save your people!
15 Come and save this grapevine that you planted, this young vine you made grow so strong!
16 Our enemies have set it on fire and cut it down; look at them in anger and destroy them! 17 Preserve and protect the people you have chosen, the nation you made so strong.
18 We will never turn away from you again; keep us alive, and we will praise you.
19 Bring us back, LORD God Almighty. Show us your mercy, and we will be saved.
Glory to the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen. Or: Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen.
Faithful Shepherd of your people, as we look for the fight of your countenance, restore in us the image of your glory and graft us into the risen life of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
22 A man controlled by demons was brought to Jesus. The man was blind and could not speak. Jesus healed him. Then the man could speak and see. 23 All the people were amazed. They said, “Could this be the Son of David? ” 24 The Pharisees heard this. So they said, “This fellow drives out demons by the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons. ” 25 Jesus knew what they were thinking. So he said to them, “Every kingdom that fights against itself will be destroyed. Every city or family that is divided against itself will not stand. 26 If Satan drives out Satan, he fights against himself. Then how can his kingdom stand? 27 You say I drive out demons by the power of Beelzebul. Then by whose power do your people drive them out? So then, they will be your judges. 28 But suppose I drive out demons by the Spirit of God. Then the kingdom of God has come to you. (Matthew 9. 22 -28; NIr. V)
Arise, shine, for your light has come, All the glory of the Lord is rising upon you. God’s salvation has been openly shown to all people, All Declare his glory among the nations. Glory to the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit: All Arise, shine, for your light has come, the glory of the Lord is rising upon you.

THE LORD’S PRAYER Believing in the promises of God, let us pray with confidence as our Saviour taught us:
(Modern Version) (Traditional Version) Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be your name; Your kingdom come; Your will be done; on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours, now and for ever. Amen. Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name; Thy kingdom come; Thy will be done; on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory for ever and ever. Amen.
