EPIPHANY Week 2 WEDNESDAY EVENING PRAYER Together: Growing, Caring, Sharing in God’s Love

From the rising of the sun to its setting, All your glory is proclaimed in all the world.

O God, make speed to save us, All O Lord, make haste to help us.

Blessed are you, Sovereign God, our light and our salvation: All to you be praise and glory for ever.

You gave your Christ as a light to the nations, All and through the anointing of the Spirit, you established us as a royal priesthood.

As you call us into your marvellous light, All may our lives bear witness to your truth and our lips never cease to proclaim your praise.

Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit: All Blessed be God for ever!

That this evening may be holy, good and peaceful, let us pray with one heart and mind.

All As our evening prayer rises before you, O God, so may your mercy come down upon us, to cleanse our hearts and set us free to sing your praise, now and for ever. Amen.

PSALM Psalm 104 part 4/4 (Good News Translation)

31 May the glory of the LORD last forever! May the LORD be happy with what he has made!

32 He looks at the earth, and it trembles; he touches the mountains, and they pour out smoke.

33 I will sing to the LORD all my life; as long as I live I will sing praises to my God.

34 May he be pleased with my song, for my gladness comes from him.

35 May sinners be destroyed from the earth; may the wicked be no more.

Praise the LORD, my soul! Praise the LORD!

Glory to the Father, by the Son, in the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen. Or: Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be for ever. Amen.

Creator God, send your Holy Spirit to renew this living world, that the whole creation, in its groaning and striving, may know your loving purpose and come to reflect your glory; in Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

All Holy God, we see your glory in the face of Jesus Christ: may we reflect his life in words and deed, that all the world may know his power to change and save. We pray you in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE LORD’S PRAYER Believing in the promises of God, let us pray with confidence as our Saviour taught us:
