EOC English SOL Reviewing the Format
EOC Writing Test Date & Locations Monday, December 5 Multiple Choice Report to the Library at 9: 15 am
The Basics Bookbags will be placed in the front of the room. Cellphone must be turned off and placed in bookbag. Take a pen/pencil to your seat. You may have a drink and snack (not a noisy snack).
Test Format The passage is displayed on the left side of the screen, and the questions will appear on the left. When the passage is a poem, the passage and associated questions will be displayed using a horizontal split.
Foot notes Students can scroll to see the footnote, which is separated by a line space at the bottom of the passage and is in a smaller font.
The Questions In traditional multiple choice you are asked to select the best answer. Don’t rush through. Read the directions carefully.
The Tools: Pointer vs Eliminator Answers must be selected using the pointer. The eliminator tool is to help students process the incorrect answers. You do not have to use it.

Question Review For READING ONLY, students can go back and change their answer even after they have moved on to the next question AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN THE SAME READING PASSAGE! Once they leave the passage, they can’t go back and change an answer.
