H 2 O columns Version 3. 53, 25 October-10 November § BIAS-2 (ch. 8 2360 -2366): all negative values version 4. 0 positive values but orders of magnitude too high § BIAS-1 (ch. 8 2269 -2275): values between 0 en 3 x 10^5 kg m-2 1% of pixels is negative (not counting sza > 85 ) § BIAS-0 (ch 7 2031 -2038): non-physical values, large spread with small given errors, many ‘normal’ values around 10 to 20 kg m-2. 0. 1% of pixels is negative. Conclusions • Sciamachy columns of CO, CH 4 and H 2 O show non-physical values, orders of magnitude too high, negative values, large spread, constant values at high sza (close to gb values). • Given the current status of these products, comparing with groundbased measurements does not give any additional information • Br. O, Cl.
