Conclusion Comparisons with MIPAS 4. 53 (data from Oct. 24 onwards) using g. b. MWR, LIDAR, FTIR, and O 3 sondes before Nov. 13: D altitude: 1 - 2 km < 20 km: MIPAS vmr too low >25 km: MIPAS vmr too large after Nov. 13: O 3 sondes Uccle & MWR Payerne (110 comparisons !) : height assignment is reasonable much better agreement Quality of MIPAS O 3 profiles is quite promising Envisat Validation Workshop, ACVT-GBMCD, MIPAS O 3 12/12/2002 Page 26
