ABOUT MONGOLIA • Landlocked country • Boarded with China and Russia • A total area: 1, 564, 116 km 2, 10, 560 km 2, are covered by water. • 7. 85% of the total area covered by forest. • 4 natural zones • • A total population: 3. 2 mln (2017) A population density: 1. 99 people per km 2 Share of urban population: 68. 3% Share of young people (aged 15– 34 years old): 33% Minsk, Belarus 21 -22 November 2018

ABOUT MONGOLIA Main economic sectors • Agriculture: 11. 68% of GDP – 66. 2 mln head of livestock – about 73. 5% of the total area is pasture land. – about 30% of labour force • Mining: Rich mineral deposits: coal, copper, molybdenum, tin, tungsten and gold. – 20% of GDP, 85% of exports, 30% of national budget revenue, – 70% of the country’s foreign direct investment (FDI).
