What do you need for Entrepreneurship? q A binder for course work q A duotang/other folder to be passed in periodically q An email address q Textbook (to be kept in the classroom) q A pencil or pen for EVERY class q A positive attitude q A willingness to learn q Respect for yourself, your classmates and teachers

Portfolio? q Over the course of the year we will be building a portfolio consisting of the following: news articles analyses (at least 10 by year’s end), journal entries, responses to case studies, classroom activities, specific performances indicator activities, responses to field trips and/or guest speakers

Possible business in the news topics the role technology has played in the evolution of a company or product the connection between supply, demand price of a product or service changes or challenges facing a sector of the economy innovation that resulted from meeting consumer demand (may include trend/fad)

POSSIBLE BUSINESS IN THE NEWS TOPICS the challenges, risks and strategies used by a new local business the challenges, risks and strategies used by a long established business unethical behavior of a business demonstrating social responsibility a successful entrepreneur.

Entrepreneurship portfolio The articles in the portfolio should include the following: 1. A copy of the article 2. Source and the date of publication 3. Analysis (I will provide you with templates to work with) The EP should be submitted as a binder, scrapbook, blog or other suitable medium, and include a table of contents.

Cell phones? !

Cell phones? ! Phones should be out of sight unless they are plugged into the charging station for the entirety of the class. Once they are plugged in, they must stay there until the bell rings. If I see your phone being used while I am teaching, I will put it on my desk until the end of the class.
