¡Additional staff help ensure you have the resources to meet the grant’s objectives. ¡Larger staff allows for more than one person to hold specific knowledge about your grant. 12

¡Documentation & grants manual started are fast track on-boarding tools. ¡Adjust your grants manual as you go so that new staff can review current information for quicker on-boarding. 13

¡We have a pyramid structure where staff report up the chain. } This is two-fold. In the educational world, you have to have experience supervising others to move up. } It also helps to ensure staff are cross-trained on others’ roles & responsibilities. 14

¡Have purposeful staff meetings focused on solutions. ¡Ensure all staff have equal access to data entry and that all staff have the skill set(s) required to run reports. ¡If a staff person gives notice, have them spend the majority of their time providing information needed for a smooth transition. 15
